In order to ensure your appointment is booked correctly please make sure to inform the receptionist of any of the following:
- WorkSafe BC – work related injury
- ICBC
- if you have forms to fill out
- if this is a follow-up appointment
- if you will need a procedure performed ex. sutures, biopsy etc.
- if you are booking a physical exam
*When booking your first appointment please have your Care Card or BC Services Card ready as we will need your Personal Health Number (PHN)
CANCELLATION POLICY
Please provide 24 hours notice if you are unable to make your appointment. A fee may be charged for insufficient notice or missed appointments.

Comox Medical Clinic will post all Holiday hours here. Please check this page to see what we have posted close to the date of a public holiday.
FLU SHOT DROP IN TIMES – Monday, Tuesday & Wednesdays from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Flu Shots are available to patients of Comox Medical Clinic only. Patients aged 13+ can attend our clinics on a first come, first served basis. Patients between the ages of 6 months and 12 years old are required to call the clinic and book an appointment with the nurse.
**PLEASE NOTE that the Flu Mist is NOT available this year
PRIVATE PAY FEES
Comox Medical Clinic follows the guidelines of the British Columbia Medical Association when setting their fees for privately paid services. Here is a list of services that are privately paid by the patient:
- Driver’s Medicals
- Other Third-Party services ex. Forms for Employment, School, Insurance, Camp, etc.
- Cosmetic procedures (including benign lesions, warts & skin tags)
- Photocopying
- Missed Appointments
- Tray Fees
- Appointments when a patient does not have MSP coverage or are not covered by MSP ex. cosmetic procedures
- Transfer of medical records
If your next appointment has been booked for any of the above, please inquire about the fee(s) that may be charged upon booking.
PRESCRIPTION RENEWALS
In order to facilitate in the care of your prescriptions, we ask that you give adequate notice when running low on your prescriptions. You will need to book an appointment with your physician to have your prescription refilled.
Your physician may charge a fee for the service of last minute requests for phone in prescription renewal. Please allow sufficient time when calling the clinic for a renewal.
Please note: Comox Medical Clinic does not carry any narcotic medications on site.
