COVID-19 UPDATE
February 23, 2021
Comox Medical Clinic maintains keeping the health and safety of our patients, staff and physicians our main priority.
All physicians are continuing telephone visits to our patients to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19.
Most prescriptions can be faxed to your pharmacy, once your physician has spoken with you over a Telehealth phone visit.
While most visits may be managed over the phone, there will be some medical issues that require face-to-face interaction in the clinic. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Please call our receptionists for an appointment like you normally would, and we will determine whether your needs can be dealt with by a phone call from a physician, or whether you need to come in to the clinic.
We have recently re-launched our online booking portal for TELEPHONE VISITS ONLY.
Inquire with a receptionist on how to register
We will remain open Monday to Saturday to serve you, but we have temporarily stopped our evening clinics.
ALL VISITS AND SERVICES REQUIRE A BOOKED APPOINTMENT
This includes lab work and injections, as well as dropping off or picking up paperwork.
Effective November 5, 2020 - Comox Medical Clinic will be strictly following the BC Ministry of Health Policy that requires all patients, health care workers and non-clinical staff to wear medical grade masks while inside the Clinic.
Patients will be asked to wear a medical grade mask for their entire visit,
disinfect their hands upon arrival and maintain physical distancing of a minimum of 6 feet.
We ask that patients arrive for their appointments no more than 5 minutes early and, where possible,
to not have any non-essential accompanying visitors along for your appointment.
Rest assured Comox Medical Clinic will adhere to the recommendations of the Provincial Health Officer, B.C. College of Physicians and Surgeons, WorkSafe BC and the BCCDC when implementing clinic policies for patients, staff and physicians.
